At any rate - tonight we decided to leave for Buffalo a day early as there's an ice storm headed our way, and no need to make our lives difficult on Christmas Eve. Thank you Dad for the heads up...Because of that we're scrambling a bit as the full day we had allocated to laundry and packing is now gone, but no worries. Mark and I are just looking forward to some relaxation and time with our girl...and maybe even taking advantage of all the extra arms we'll have nearby.
Before we headed out, Sawyer got to open some Christmas presents she had here in Chicago. It's been a steady stream of opening actually since she got them from her Grandma/Grandpa and Ann/Ted/Charlie. Every now and then they catch her eye and she starts to open one, and we don't really prevent it. She LOVES her Elmo book and has learned to bounce with the music that it plays. The last present she opened was from her cousin Charlie - and it was a Little People house! She makes the telephone ring, and then pretends to hold it to her ear and says "HI". It's pretty cute if i do say so myself. The reason this was the last present opened was for about two weeks she's preferred to just climb on the box and go up and down. Once it was opened she played with her house, but also spent a lot of time giggling with the box, as you can see below. Although Mark is right there - she actually did this to herself. Uncle Ted - do you need some help testing boxes at your work?
