The last night of vacation we spent out to dinner with Grandma, Grandpa, Grandpa Joe, and the Daleys. It was somewhat relaxing except for the five children 6 and under that keep you on your toes. The good thing is there's plenty of room to run on the putting greens and grounds at the club, and I had our camera and picked up some great pictures of our girls.
Margie under the gazebo...please let one of my girls get married here because I imagine lovely wedding pictures must be taken here.
Sawyer looking old again. She decided it was a ponytail night for her. This girl had curls galore all vacation but was looking for a sleeker look that night it seems. And the following pictures may all seem the same, but I see subtle differences and love them all so I'm going to post all of them. These three know how to pose...
But sometimes Margot rocks her side grin which makes me smile.
And sometimes you zoom out so you can get the whole outfit
And then Grandpa gets pulled into a picture or two with his girls.
Isla especially seemed to enjoy her time running around the golf course, playing up to the camera. Here she is showing timid excitement...
And then bold excitement...
She then got pre-occupied, with her cousin Maeve, picking up the golf balls. Of course the best way to pick them up is to use your dress, right?
I'm not sure the high-brow at this club would appreciate it, but we found it pretty funny, and luckily there weren't too many people around.
Eventually Grandpa got a putter or two out so they could try and hit some balls. They were not good, but we were hoping that in about 20 years this Rory would be playing at the Masters with the other Rory.
Isla needed some skills instruction - she does not hold the club right...
And sometimes we just had to scoop this one up to keep her from running.
And for posterity, how cool is our girl. Yes her name is on her shoes. Thank you Aunt Alicia.
Somehow Margot always gets the boot at some point. I think because she runs away...and these two will stay a half a second longer.
And probably my favorite picture of the night is the cousins all together. Maeve and Isla, unplanned, had the same dress on, and they all just looked coordinated. So cute because those two were also the best of friends that week as well.
After this we went home and packed for a long trip the next day. We spent the morning swimming at my parent's house and then getting on the road for what turned out to be a long 20 hour ride. Thankfully we got home at 8am our time and had time for the six loads of laundry we needed to do, unpacking the car, getting groceries and all that boring post-vacation blah that needs to be done. We also got some resting in, which was needed. And now, we'll start dreaming till our next beach vacation this summer...
