Luscious Jowls

Few things I forgot to write about recently...first, as many of you know Sawyer has beautiful, squeezable cheeks. They are one of our favorite parts about her. It turns out other people take notice as well. At her daycare the other day, Miss Alicia (one of her teachers) told me Sawyer's "jowls" always make her smile, especially when she has a hat on. I did a bit of a double take and said "her what?". When she repeated jowls, i just kind of said oh yes, i love her cheeks too. Oddly enough, as we were walking home from daycare a different day, there was a man on the street corner waiting to cross probably a little younger than me, and he smiled at Sawyer and said, "man, look at those luscious jowls.." definitely made me laugh. clearly i'm one of the few people in my hood who doesn't use the word jowls. Other than that, Sawyer's getting so big - i swear she's grown just in the last three days. She is now pretty good at waving, and does it frequently. She's starting to clap. She's done it a few times, and just sits there clapping away. And she is getting her first tooth. We first noticed it on Thursday when we were at the dentist for mark and i and had aunt kathy feel it. There was a small little sharp edge so we know it was there, but it's coming through for sure now - sadly sawyer didn't sleep well last night, and i think it was probably due to the tooth because she's normally a great sleeper. She hasn't really given me a great peek at it, but Mark has seen it...
