Bright Sunny Day + Cold Wind = Good Moods Indoors. The fam met up with another fam today at a local burger place for brunch. The Brubakers and Harrises were thankful for two very well behaved youngins, seen here eating quietly. I'm sure some of the happiness was due to the vodka and tomato juice as well. A walk in the park was to follow until Leo realized his decision to wear shorts would prove to be fatal in the 57 degree sunsoaked lakefront. So off to their house we went for some catching up, swaping new parent advice, and a whole lot of playing. Leo is great because he takes on the persona of another dad to Sawyer and she'll take as many dads as she can get! She wasn't thrilled about riding on her first scooter, but she definitely wasn't against it either. Isabella was very generous with Sawyer and let her play with many of her cherished toys. She is almost 2 already and extremely bilingual. Pretty cool to watch her seemlessly transition between languages with her mom and dad.
She kept calling Sawyer "nina" and was super sweet right up to her parting nap time. Other random notes......Sawyer has taken to making clicking sounds. We aren't sure exactly what she is trying to communicate, but it's neat anyway. She continues to prefer to stand and attempt to walk between Erin and I. We are both very proud of her ambition on this front! Now, only 2 more work days til we can jet off to B-Lo. We are more than ready to jet........
