Here's Sawyer hanging at the library. She likes to go play games on the computer there and turns comotose.
We made our way into the city on Saturday to visit Caroline. We hung out at her apartment for a bit and grabbed lunch, which was really nice because we haven't seen her in forever. Despite the relatively short visit, this was the picture on the way home...
We stopped at a fave boutique store before heading out of the city and we quickly made our purchases and got a move on, with Isla crying the whole walk to the car because she wanted to play with something in the store. Once we got them in the car, both girls passed out pretty quickly.
Mark and I had quite a busy Saturday because we headed out a little later that afternoon. We are thinking about remodeling our master bath and were meeting with the designer which was a cool experience and then grabbed a quick bite to eat afterwards. We'll keep you posted if we decide to move forward. Mark took some "before" pictures today, so chances are pretty good we will.
As for today, we headed out to the outlets. Sawyer has recently turned into a full-fledged girl and would like to wear skirts and dresses all the time. Well since this was never really of interest before we had very few and needed to make some purchases to make getting dressed in the morning much easier. Needless to say, we found some good stuff and the girl is excited about showing off her new clothes. Her Dad even let her get some Hello Kitty sneakers.
Another snap from the car...
The trip may have been best with just Sawyer and me because Isla is deep in the terrible twos these days. She has unreasonable temper tantrums and gave us two good ones while we were shopping, one of which had her sprawled out on the floor of the Gap yelling and crying. The annoying thing is that we usually have no idea why she's upset so have no idea how to fix it, and she goes from super high to super low in no time flat. This picture below was taken about 30 seconds before her tantrum. Isla likes to hug mannequins, and this was her second store of the day doing so.
She threw another one when we got home because Mark took her out of the car and she really wanted me to. Because I wouldn't put her back in the car, and then take her out myself and instead chose to carry in the bags she went nutso. I eventually carried her in to the house and fought with her to get her shoes and coat off. She got put up in her room and took 2 hours to get to sleep. That two hours was a combination of crying, me reading/singing to her, Sawyer hanging with her, and eventually the door was shut and she fell asleep right in front of it for 2.5 hours. I remember thinking Sawyer was very tempermental as well, but Isla seems worse. I'm not sure if it's just selective memory, but I look forward to having more happy Isla than crazy Isla.
