Our luck has finally run out. Sawyer hadn't been really sick since last spring, but she's caught a really nasty cold this week. The poor thing has a hacking cough that doesn't stop, has now had a fever of 101 for over 24 hours, and this morning woke up with mucus caked all over her face and eyelashes. That's right - the mucus is even coming out of her eye, and those long eyelashes keep it caked on there. We haven't yet gone to the doctor because she's still in great spirits but if this fever doesn't break soon that may be our next outing. Mark stayed home with Sawyer on Wednesday, and I stayed home today, and likely will tomorrow as well. One of our main activities each day, or multiple times a day, is hanging in the bathroom with the steam. It seems to help with the coughing, atleast for a little while. I think Sawyer must have a little wave in her hair like her Daddy because her hair curls right up everytime we go in that bathroom. You can kind of see it in these pictures - we're just happy she's getting more hair!
Not a lot else going on with us - work has been so busy it makes the holidays feel like long ago. The weather is finally getting to a bearable level, though with Sawyer sick we have absolutely nothing planned. Hoping to get all my thank you cards done.
And just for fun, Daddy put Sawyer in the dryer and she seemed to enjoy playing for a bit.
