Well this weekend has been pretty much what we thought - pretty uneventful. We did end up going to the doctor because Sawyer was on Day 3 with a fever of above a 100. Turns out we're back to the land of ear infections and so she's now on Antibiotics and a steady stream of Motrin for the pain. This in addition to her Daily Vitamin and we're all about the droppers of medicine multiple times a day. Thankfully she's still in pretty good spirits, although incredibly clingy. To prevent ourselves from going stir crazy we did do some trips out of the house, including to Krolls for dinner. We walked in to this local bar/restaurant and as we stood in the entry way took off Sawyer's hat. She was a little wobbly in her big winter coat, and I wasn't holding her hand as tightly as I probably should have, so Sawyer toppled backward and hit her head on the door letting out the loudest cry ever....just our way of making a nice little entrance. Needless to say everyone in the bar area just kind of stared. Three loud yells later and she was fine, and was great the rest of the meal. pfew.
In other news, Sawyer has been going around the house ordering us to "Read" to her. She's really quite demanding with her request, bringing over books and repeating over and over "Read". This picture is her and Daddy reading some books. She was so intent on the story, and i ruined it by grabbing the camera...oops. On occasion she will grab the books herself and babble a story to it, but not too frequently yet. She also has been playing with her dolls more. She sings to it, holds it, feeds it, and yesterday we even burped the baby after it's bottle. It was really cute but thank god it's fake because she was really hitting that baby...

Very excited during the reading of a different book...
Planning to get out of the house again today to try and get some deals on baby clothes for next year. In the meantime we're just playing. I know that all kids are reckless with their toys, but I'm starting to think that Sawyer just doesn't like to see clean spaces. Every night we pick up ther toys before bed, and by we, I mean mainly Mark and I. Every morning, Sawyer comes out into the family room and her destruction is immediate. Within about 1 minute this morning, she emptied her box of blocks, took her stacking cups out one at a time and whipped them around the room, and then dumped every single puzzle we have. She didn't want to play with any of them, she just needed them to be scattered on the floor. She then moved on to the toys she actually wanted to play with. Amazing.
