Well Sawyer had quite a nice weekend. On Friday she got a visit from our friend Michele - she slept through the whole thing. On Sunday she went to the Chicago Marathon to cheer on Jay. We only went to one place - two blocks from our condo, and we ran into Michele again, and Dennis. It was fun to cheer everyone on, but another hot day for the runners - it got up to 84 degrees - we only stayed for about 30-45 minutes. Jay came over later in the day for a visit, but then he and Mark went out to celebrate - Jay running the marathon and Mark turning 30. That's right - Mark turned 30 on Monday. We tried to make him feel special, even though we were limited in what we could do, but he did get a cake, went out for a fun night with Jay on Sunday, and went to dinner with the runners on Saturday as well. On Monday, we got up and went out for brunch and then spent the day relaxing.
Anyway - not much planned for this week. Sawyer and I are going to check out another daycare this week - this one is on our street but a few more blocks away. On a happy note, they have space available for January, so if we don't get into the one we want, we can get into this one. Either way, it should all be settled in the next month. Also - we have a few more friends who are planning to stop by this week/weekend so that will be exciting.
